Home Care in Billericay
Beaumont Home Care was built on trust, professionalism, kindness, strong values and good old-fashioned common sense. We believe that if it matters to our client, it matters to us. Whether it’s remembering how they like their porridge, whether they like one biscuit or two with their tea, or exactly how they like their bed made, it’s often the little things that make the biggest difference. Because to us, truly personalised care means noticing, remembering and caring about the details, however big or small.
It’s this personal approach that makes Beaumont Home Care different. We get to know the people we care for, not simply the support they need, but the person behind it. We believe that’s why so many of our new clients come to us through personal recommendations and word of mouth. For us, there is no greater compliment than a client or their family trusting us enough to recommend Beaumont to someone they care about.
A genuinely local home care team
When we say Beaumont Home Care is local, we really mean it.
Our home care service is managed from our office in Ingatestone, Essex, just a few miles from Billericay. Our management team and care team are all local people who know the area well and are part of the communities in which we provide care.
It is also important to note that our incredible home care team are employed directly by Beaumont Home Care. They are recruited by us, trained by us and supported by us.
The same personal approach extends to our clients and their families. When you call us, you are speaking to people who know our service, know our care team and are directly involved in the management and delivery of your care.
Our management team, Tracy, Tina, Danielle, Theresa and Lisa, are very much hands on and involved in the day-to-day running of Beaumont Home Care.
When something changes or you need to speak to someone, you can talk to a member of our team who knows our carers, knows our clients and understands the care we provide. Having our management team close by means we can be responsive, deal with things quickly and provide the personal service we believe every client and family deserves.
For us, being a local home care company is about much more than having an office nearby. It means being present, accessible and accountable, knowing the people we care for and being there when our clients and their families need us.
A note from Tracy, our founder
Beaumont Home Care was founded by Tracy Barnabas in 2020, after almost 30 years working at a senior level in Human Resources, people management and leadership.
From the very beginning, Tracy had a clear vision of the kind of home care company she wanted to create: a home care service she would genuinely feel comfortable choosing for someone she loved.
“I always wanted Beaumont to be professional, well run and safe, but without ever losing the personal touch.
I want our carers to notice when somebody isn’t quite themselves. To remember how they like their porridge, which mug they prefer or that the dog needs letting into the garden before they leave.
I want our care team to have common sense, to be honest, reliable and caring, and to go that little bit further when someone needs it.
Most importantly, I want our clients to feel safe, comfortable and genuinely pleased to see the person walking through their front door.
Care can involve some incredibly difficult and serious moments, and families need to know that they have a professional and dependable team surrounding them if those moments come.
But care is also about everyday life. It can be sitting down together with a cup of tea, having a giggle, talking about what is on the television or simply putting the world to rights.
I have always believed that if something matters to the person we are caring for, it matters to us too.”
Tracy Barnabas, Founder and Director
That approach has shaped Beaumont Home Care from the beginning and continues to influence how we care for our clients, support their families and carefully choose the people we welcome into our team.
What home care can we provide in Billericay?
There is no standard Beaumont client, so there is no standard Beaumont care package.
Some people may simply need a short visit to help them get ready in the morning, prepare a meal or remember their medication. Others may need more regular support with personal care, companionship, help following a stay in hospital or complex care.
For people living with dementia, we provide personalised dementia care at home in Billericay, helping your loved one to remain in familiar surroundings, with familiar routines and the reassurance of their own home around them. We take time to understand the person, not simply their diagnosis, including their routines, preferences, interests and the little things that help them feel comfortable and secure.
We also provide respite care in Billericay for families who need a little time to themselves or a break from their caring responsibilities. This might be for a few hours, regularly each week, overnight or for a longer period to have a well-deserved holiday, relaxed in the knowledge your loved one is being taken care of. Our aim is to give families the reassurance that the person they love is being well cared for while they take some much-needed time for themselves.
For people who need support during the night, we provide overnight care in Billericay for people in their own home. This can offer reassurance to someone who may be anxious or unsafe alone at night, needs help getting to the bathroom, requires support with medication or simply needs somebody there should they need assistance.
For people with more significant or ongoing needs, we can provide complex home care in Billericay, including support with stoma and catheter care, PEG feeding and other complex care needs. With the right support in place, many people with complex needs can continue living safely and comfortably in their own home.
We also provide live-in care in Billericay for people who need a greater level of support and reassurance. A live-in carer stays in the person’s home, providing one-to-one care, companionship and practical support throughout the day, while helping them maintain their independence and continue living in familiar surroundings.
Our home care services in Billericay include:
- Visiting home care
- Personal care
- Companionship
- Dementia care
- Medication support
- Meal preparation
- Help around the home
- Hospital-to-home care
- Respite care
- Overnight care
- Live-in care
- Complex care
- Palliative care
- End-of-life care
Our aim is not to fit somebody into a care package. It is to build the care around the person.
Whether that means a few hours of support each week, regular daily visits, respite for a family carer, support throughout the night, complex care or having a live-in carer in the home, we build the care around the individual, their circumstances and what matters most to them.
Trust, professionalism and good old-fashioned common sense
We take training, safeguarding, medication management and good governance extremely seriously. Beaumont Home Care is regulated by the Care Quality Commission and is currently rated Good.
We believe that good care is about more than policies, procedures and ticking boxes. Some things simply cannot be taught from a manual.
If somebody who normally finishes their breakfast suddenly does not want to eat, we want our carers to notice.
If someone seems confused, quieter than usual or simply not quite themselves, we want them to notice that too.
And if something does not look or feel right, we want our carers to have the confidence and common sense to speak up and act on it.
It is about knowing the person well enough to recognise when something has changed, however small that change might seem.
Good care needs strong systems, training and professional standards. Great care also needs people who notice, think and genuinely care.

How much does home care in Billericay cost?
The cost of home care will depend on the type and level of support you need and how often you need it.
Our visiting home care in Billericay starts from £30 per hour. The cost of other types of home care will depend on the level of support required, the length and frequency of visits and the individual needs of the person receiving care.
Before any care begins, we will take the time to understand what you or your loved one needs and explain the costs clearly, so you know exactly what to expect.
There is absolutely no obligation simply because you have spoken to us. Sometimes families just need a little advice, reassurance or help understanding the different care options available, and we are always happy to have that conversation.
For live-in care, overnight care, respite care or more complex care needs, costs will vary depending on the type and level of support required. We will talk you through the options and provide a clear cost based on your individual circumstances.

How quickly can home care start?
Sometimes families have weeks to plan for care. Sometimes circumstances change unexpectedly and support is needed much sooner.
Where we have suitable carers available, we will always do our best to put home care in place as quickly as possible.
This may be following a hospital discharge, a sudden change in someone’s needs, or simply because a family has reached the point where they need some extra help.
Every situation is different, so we will talk to you about what is happening, understand the support needed and let you know honestly what we can put in place and how quickly we can start.
If you need urgent home care in Billericay, please call our local team on 01277 356645 and we will do everything we reasonably can to help.
Do you provide 30-minute care visits?
Yes. Not everybody needs an hour of care, and for some people a 30-minute home care visit may be all the support they need.
However, we will only recommend a 30-minute visit where we believe there is enough time to provide the care properly and without rushing.
If somebody needs personal care, medication support, help preparing a meal or several different things during the same visit, we will talk this through with you and recommend a visit length that allows our carers enough time to do everything safely and properly.
We would always rather allow a little more time than ask a carer to rush someone through their care.
Good care should never feel rushed.
Are Beaumont carers DBS checked and trained?
Yes. We take the responsibility of choosing the people who enter our clients’ homes extremely seriously.
Every member of our care team goes through a thorough recruitment and pre-employment checking process before they can provide care on behalf of Beaumont Home Care. This includes an Enhanced DBS check, identity and right-to-work checks, employment history and references, alongside our own interview and assessment process.
Once they join Beaumont, our carers complete the training required for their role and receive ongoing training, supervision and support. Where a client has more complex needs, we make sure the carers supporting them have the appropriate training and competency for the care they are providing.
But our recruitment process looks for something else too. Character.
Qualifications, training and experience matter enormously, but so does the person behind them. We look for people who are naturally kind, dependable, observant, honest and caring. People who will notice when something isn’t right, speak up when they have a concern and treat someone’s home, dignity and independence with respect.
We know that inviting somebody into your home, or trusting them to care for someone you love, is a big decision and we never take that trust for granted.
What families say about Beaumont Home Care
Choosing care for someone you love is a big decision, and we know that hearing from other families can provide some much-needed reassurance.
We are incredibly proud that so many of our clients and their families recommend Beaumont Home Care to others.
“We are extremely appreciative at the level of care and support which Beaumont have provided my father. The support and organisation are exemplary and the care staff and structure are first rate. Entrusting care of a loved one is a new experience for us, but we have been guided and supported all the way by the Beaumont team. To that end, we would not hesitate to recommend Beaumont Home Care to anyone looking to provide professional care services for their loved ones.”

Looking for home care in Billericay?
You do not need to know exactly what type of care you need before you contact us. Many families don’t.
Sometimes the first conversation really is:
“This is what’s happening. What do you think we should do?”
That’s absolutely fine.
We will listen, ask the right questions, explain the options available and give you an honest view of what we think might help. If we believe we can provide the right care, we will explain what happens next. And if we don’t think we are the right people to help, we will be honest about that too.
There is no obligation and no pressure. Sometimes a conversation is simply a good place to start.
